Penn College's men's lacrosse team faced a challenging start to their season, losing 14-3 to Misericordia in a nonconference game on Sunday. The Wildcats' record now stands at 0-1, while the Cougars begin their season with a win.

Misericordia took an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead 6-1 and maintaining their advantage at halftime with a score of 7-2. In the second half, they continued to dominate, outscoring Penn College 7-1.

For Penn College, AJ Dotson was the standout player with two goals, while Sam Hills contributed one goal. Goalkeeper Alex Hammond made nine saves for the Wildcats.

The Cougars had a strong performance overall, outshooting Penn College 43-28 and securing more ground balls with a count of 38-26. They also won 11 of the 20 faceoffs during the match.

Looking ahead, Penn College will play against Westminster at home on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
