In its third season under the guidance of coach Jordan Williams, Penn College's men's lacrosse team made notable strides by qualifying for the UE playoffs for the third consecutive time. The team concluded the season among the top four, achieving a 3-3 record in conference games and setting a new single-season win record with an overall performance of 11-7. This success improved Williams' career record to 24-17.
Key players contributing to this successful season included sophomore Sam Hills from Maynard, Massachusetts, who scored 37 goals and provided 20 assists; junior Quinn Caviola from Ridgefield, Connecticut, with 24 goals and 23 assists; and freshman Camden Elmo from Hanover, who netted 28 goals alongside 16 assists. In goal, sophomore James (JJ) Cella from Cape May, New Jersey, made an impressive total of 184 saves and maintained a personal record of 10-6.
Coach Williams expressed pride in the team's accomplishments: "We have a ton to be proud of as we look back on the year, reflect on the season and move forward into our third full season as a program," he said. He emphasized the potential of returning players and incoming talent: "We return a great core group of players, have an incoming class ready to make a splash and we are fired up for the opportunity to continue to build this program on and off the field."
Williams also highlighted future aspirations: "We look forward to the opportunities in front of us and the opportunity for our guys to show that it is cool to care about Penn College lacrosse."
The final records stood at an overall score of 11-7 with a UE standing of 3-3 (3-2 in regular season play).
Several players received postseason honors. Camden Elmo was named to the UE first team. Quinn Caviola, Michael Stank from York Haven, Sam Hills from Maynard, Massachusetts, Mason Nester from Schwenksville, and Colten Hajicek from Redmond, Washington were selected for the UE second team. James (JJ) Cella was recognized on the UE All-Sportsmanship Team.
