Penn College's women's soccer team secured a decisive 6-0 victory over Rosemont in their United East match on Saturday, maintaining their unbeaten streak. The Wildcats now stand at 2-0-1 in the United East and hold an overall record of 8-0-4. Meanwhile, Rosemont's record shifted to 1-1 in the conference and 5-5 overall.
The scoring began when Megan Kurian netted a goal off Sierra Klinger's pass in the 21st minute. Cassie Johnson assisted Lucy Kontir for another goal in the 36th minute, giving Penn College a comfortable 2-0 lead by halftime.
Kurian added her team-leading 15th goal of the season after connecting with Wiley Egan in the 52nd minute. Egan also assisted Sierra Klinger in the 65th minute, extending the Wildcats' lead to four goals. Rylee Oliphant and Olivia Casella completed the scoring with goals in the 84th and 89th minutes, respectively.
In terms of statistics, Penn College dominated with a total of 25 shots compared to Rosemont's two and held a significant advantage with ten corner kicks against none from Rosemont.
Nicole Lichtinger contributed to this victory by improving her record as goalkeeper to 5-0-4.
Looking ahead, Penn College is set to face Cedar Crest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
