Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) announced that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) has allocated funds to local museums and historical societies in Lycoming and Union counties. The funding is part of PHMC’s Cultural and Historical Grant Program, which offers general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and historical societies not funded by other state programs.

“Our community is enriched with history,” said Flick. “I am thrilled to see this crucial funding awarded to these museums and historical societies as they continue to showcase how contributions were made to today’s community.”

The organizations receiving grants and their respective amounts are as follows:

- Lewisburg Children’s Museum: $6,700

- Lycoming County Historical Society: $8,000

- Union County Historical Society: $8,000

- World of Little League Museum – Little League Baseball and Softball: $5,200

Grants were awarded based on a formula that considers a percentage of each organization’s annual operating budget.
