Liam Going named Ivy League Men's Athlete of the Week

Penn's Liam Going has been named the Ivy League Men's Athlete of the Week, announced the league on Tuesday.

Going led the men's team to their first victory of the season, scoring fifth in the 4-mile race with a personal-best time of 20:18.3 at the Main Line Invitational.

"Having excelled primarily in middle distance events in the past, it's been exciting to see Liam develop and take big strides in cross country this fall," said director Steve Dolan. "I'm looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish the rest of the season and on the track as the year progresses."

Chloe Hassman received Honor Roll accolades, crossing the finish line first for the Quakers and scoring seventh with a time of 18:32.9 in the women's 6k race.

The men's and women's cross country teams travel to Lehigh on Oct. 5 to compete at the Paul Short Run.
