Penn College dropped two 3-0 decisions against Penn State Hazleton and Delaware Valley in nonconference women's volleyball action at the Hazleton tri-match on Saturday. The Wildcats' record fell to 0-5 while Hazleton moved to 3-2 and the Aggies sit at 2-3.
Against the Lions, the home team earned set scores of 25-11, 25-22, and 25-16 to win the match. The Wildcats' Hailey DeBrody hit .312 with an ace and five kills while Naveah Ward and Ava Harple led the squad with six kills each. Kathryn Burnett dished out 18 assists.
Against Delaware Valley, the Aggies won in straight sets, 25-18, 25-11, and 25-13. Harple and DeBrody led the Wildcats' offense with four kills each, and Burnett added 11 assists.
Penn College continues its season-opening road trek at Penn State Mont Alto on Monday at 7 p.m.
