State Representative Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) has issued a statement reflecting on his first year in office serving the 83rd District. Flick highlights his efforts in securing state grant funding for the district, with a total of $8.4 million awarded so far. He specifically mentions the allocation of $3.4 million to the Williamsport Sanitary Authority, which is expected to result in a 20% savings for ratepayers over the next two years.

Throughout his first year, Flick has introduced several pieces of legislation aimed at addressing various issues. These include eliminating emissions testing for Lycoming County and similar-sized counties, providing line of duty death benefits for coroners and deputy coroners, and changing requirements for temporary substitute teachers.
