Sen. Cris Dush and Rep. Stephanie Borowicz have announced the approval of Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) grants that will enhance the quality of life in Clinton County's communities. The grants will support critical water and sewer projects, as well as assist a local performing arts organization.

Expressing their support for the grants, Rep. Stephanie Borowicz said, "I strongly support the grants announced today. Sen. Dush and I are very pleased the Commonwealth Financing Authority agreed with the need for these important projects from bolstering our community and infrastructure that our residents deserve."

Sen. Cris Dush added, "I am glad to see these critical water and sewer projects funded. Our infrastructure in the rural northern part of the state is behind the times, but I am always pleased to work with Rep. Borowicz to fight to get money into the district so our people can enjoy functional water supplies and sewer infrastructure."

The grants awarded by the CFA include:

- The Porter Township Municipal Authority will receive a $325,205 grant to replace a 72-year-old cast iron water main. This project will involve the replacement of 1,800 linear feet of water line.

- The Bald Eagle Township Authority has been awarded $608,073 to replace sewer lines along Draketown Road in Bald Eagle Township.

- The Millbrook Playhouse, Inc. will receive $20,658 to assist with its operating expenses. The funds will support the organization's efforts in promoting the performing arts.

These grants are made possible through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Local Share Account (LSA) program, which utilizes gaming revenue to support projects that serve the public interest in Pennsylvania.

The infrastructure grants are a significant step towards improving the water and sewer systems in Clinton County. The funding provided will contribute to the overall development and well-being of the communities involved.
