2022 PSAC Field Hockey Championship Tournament to begin Tuesday

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s 2022 Field Hockey Championship Tournament will begin Tuesday. The regular season concluded Saturday and the league got its six teams that will be competing for the league championship.
 
At the top of the list, the Kutztown Golden Bears earned the top seed. KU was 15-2 overall and 8-1 in league play. Kutztown’s lone conference loss was way back on October 1 in the first PSAC game of the year. Following the loss, Kutztown has gone on to win eight straight league games and nine straight games overall.
 
Taking the second seed in the tournament is Shippensburg. The Raiders are 15-2 overall and 7-2 in league matches. They are locked in a three-way tie with Millersville and East Stroudsburg but won the tiebreakers over both.
 
Both Kutztown and Shippensburg have earned first-round byes in the quarterfinals.
 
Millersville joins Shippensburg with a 7-2 league record and is the third seed in the tournament. The Marauders will battle with sixth-seeded Bloomsburg in the quarterfinals. The Huskies come into the tournament winning their fourth game of the year to punch their ticket as the last team.
 
The last 7-2 team in the conference is East Stroudsburg and they take the fourth seed. They’ll battle West Chester as the fifth seed in the quarterfinals. The Golden Rams enter the tournament, 6-3.
 
The Quarterfinal round will begin Tuesday, November 15. East Stroudsburg and West Chester at 2 p.m. and Millersville and Bloomsburg will play at 6 p.m. The games will be at the higher seeds.
 
Kutztown will host the semifinals and finals Friday, November 18 with times to be announced.
