Lock Haven University Athletics issued the following announcement on June 8.

Lock Haven University graduate and former LHU lacrosse standout Clare (Gaeng) Short ('12) has been named the head women's lacrosse coach at UNC Charlotte, a newly established NCAA Division I program that will begin play in the 2024-25 season as a member of the American Athletic Conference.

Most recently, Short was the head coach at Division II Queens and led the team to a 21-2 record and a Final Four appearance this spring.

During her time as a player at The Haven, she racked up a number of individual - on-field - honors and helped lead the team on a successful run.
