Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. Parish recently issued the following announcement.
2022 MASS AND CANDLE INTENTIONS
The book for 2022 Mass intentions and sanctuary candle intentions for both our parishes will open in the Parish Office on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. As we have done before, each person is limited to 5 Mass intentions at each church. In the interest of fairness, please do not make any early requests ahead of time. You may visit the office in Bastress, use the Mass intention envelopes found in the vestibule, or use the postal system to make your 2022 requests. The offering of Mass for deceased loved ones is a real spiritual gift to assist souls in purgatory and allow our beloved dead to know of our loving remembrance.
Many people have Masses said in their parishes on death anniversaries or other significant dates. Masses may also be offered for the intentions of the living. The stipend for a Mass intention is $10. The sponsoring of a sanctuary candle not only covers the expense of maintaining a perpetual light before the Tabernacle, but allows for your prayer intentions to be remembered by your fellow parishioners throughout the month.
Four people are able to sponsor the sanctuary candle each month at $10 donation each.
