Lock Haven University Athletics issued the following announcement on July 23.
During the 2020-21 academic year, the Bald Eagles posted high marks in the classroom as 12 different teams achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The Bald Eagles were led by the men's cross country team, which posted the highest team GPA for The Haven at 3.618 and placed second among all men's PSAC cross country teams.
Second among the LHU teams was the women's golf program, which notched an impressive 3.571 in the team's historic first year of competition.
Other programs for LHU, who achieved a 3.0 or higher included: women's basketball, women's cross country, men's & women's soccer, lacrosse, softball, tennis, men's and women's track & field, and volleyball.
Recently, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced its Scholar-Athlete lists and the Bald Eagles placed a school-best 171 student-athletes on the prestigious list.
In May, LHU honored its major academic award winners during Talons Week, which included the junior and senior GPA awards, along with the team awards.
