Lock Haven University employee Sharon Taylor donates $100 to Tammy L. Duckworth's campaign

Sharon Taylor, an employee at Lock Haven University, donated $100 to Democratic Party candidate Tammy L. Duckworth, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $1,185 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Lock Haven University as of November 3. Approximately 78.9 percent, or $935, of these contributions were made to Democratic Party candidates and committees.

Stanley Berard's contribution of $800 to Democratic Party Marc Friedenberg was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Lock Haven University since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
