Penn College achieved a decisive victory against Misericordia with a 15-3 win in nonconference men's lacrosse on Saturday. This marks the Wildcats' second consecutive win, bringing their record to 2-2, while the Cougars fall to 0-4.
The game began with Penn College's Will Ehret assisting Aidan McFalls for the opening goal within the first minute. Shortly after, AJ Dotson and Brendan Kuczma connected for another goal at 11:08. Elliot Dotson, Kuczma, and McFalls each scored unassisted goals, ending the first period at 5-1 despite Misericordia scoring once.
Both teams managed a man-up goal in the second quarter, maintaining a Wildcats lead of 6-2 by halftime. The Dotson brothers collaborated again for a goal by AJ Dotson that initiated five consecutive PCT goals through part of the fourth quarter.
Elliot Dotson completed his hat-trick with an impressive behind-the-back shot assisted by AJ with just over three minutes left in play. Jake Small and Jesse Weick then sealed the match with two final goals.
The standout performers were the Dotson brothers, who led with five points each; Elliot scored three goals and provided two assists, while AJ contributed two goals and three assists. Kuczma, Ehret, and McFalls also added two goals each. In defense, Ryan Twist made eight saves as goalkeeper. Andrew Tavarez was notable for causing five turnovers and Walt Heiser gathered six ground balls.
Looking ahead, Penn College is set to face Lycoming College this Wednesday at 7 p.m.
