A project to replace the Clark Street Bridge over Good Spring Creek in Donaldson has received $453,881 in state funding. This announcement was made by Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107). The bridge replacement is a priority for Frailey Township officials due to its frequent use by residents, employers, construction vehicles, and first responders.
Senator Argall emphasized the importance of maintaining infrastructure: “Upkeeping our roads and bridges is an important piece of building strong communities, yet these projects can be very expensive for local governments.” He expressed gratitude for the state funding that will enhance safety in Donaldson.
Representative Stehr highlighted the significance of investing in local infrastructure: “Investing in our local infrastructure is crucial to ensuring safe and reliable transportation for our communities.” She noted that this funding would provide necessary improvements for residents and travelers within the 107th District and beyond.
The project also received an additional $100,000 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund in 2024. The fund aims to promote economic development while ensuring a safe transportation system. The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved these grants during a public meeting today.
