The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's lacrosse team is gearing up for its season opener against Susquehanna University at UPMC Field. Coach Jordan Williams, entering his fifth year, aims to assess the team's readiness and improvements.

Williams has emphasized a WIN approach—"What's Important Now." He remarked, "(The) guys have a different focus and drive this year, so the group comes motivated and ready to improve." Practices are designed to be competitive yet enjoyable. "We try to make practice the best two hours of their day," he added.

Last season, the Wildcats finished 10-9 overall and were second in the United East Conference. Key returning players include Aidan McFalls, Harrison Schlachta, Mason Nester, AJ Dotson, Will Ehret, and Austin Callahan. McFalls led with 48 goals and 27 assists last year.

New recruits like Elliot Dotson and Owen Kupsey are expected to contribute early on. Williams stated, "From top to bottom, this is the most talented group we have had."

Assistant coaches Jacob Hytner (defense) and Zach Miller (offense) join the team this season. Williams described his team as "athletic" and noted improved dynamics on offense.

Off-field leadership is also strong. "We put a premium on trying to recruit great young men who happen to be good at lacrosse," Williams said.

The coach emphasized focusing on internal development over external competition. "Our keys to success come down to focusing on us," he explained.

As they prepare for conference play with an increased strength of schedule, Williams expressed optimism about competing for a championship: "Nothing is a given... we are ecstatic to challenge ourselves week in and week out."
