Jamie Flick appointed to multiple PA House committees for 2025-26 session

State Rep. Jamie Flick | Pennsylvania 83rd Legislative District

State Representative Jamie Flick, serving the Lycoming and Union districts, has been appointed to several key committees for the 2025-26 legislative session in Pennsylvania. These include the House Children and Youth, Environmental Resources, Human Services, Local Government, and Tourism and Economic and Recreational Development committees. Flick was sworn into office for another term on January 7.

"I am excited to work on these committees during this new legislative session," said Flick. "The committees each handle complex issues that are dear to my heart, and I look forward to using my knowledge and experience while navigating key legislation. As always, my goal is for my colleagues and I to advocate for common-sense legislation and work in a bipartisan way so Pennsylvanians receive the opportunities they deserve."

The Children and Youth Committee focuses on adoption, child protection laws, juvenile delinquency, among other areas. The Environmental Resources Committee oversees environmental laws administered by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), dealing with clean air, water conservation, waste disposal, recycling, etc.

Flick will also serve on the Human Services Committee which deals with issues such as the opioid crisis and mental health services under departments like Human Services and Drug & Alcohol Programs. The Local Government Committee reviews bills affecting over 2,500 local government units including municipal codes.

In his role on the Tourism and Economic Development Committee, Flick will address tourism promotion initiatives related to recreational land use among others.

“I’m eager to collaborate with my colleagues on these committees to create positive change for our communities,” added Flick. “By focusing on practical impactful solutions we can ensure Pennsylvania remains a great place to live work raise a family.”

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives will reconvene on January 27 at noon.
