State grants exceeding $2.7 million have been allocated to various communities in Carbon County for infrastructure projects. State Senator Dave Argall and State Representative Doyle Heffley collaborated with local leaders to secure this funding.

“These highly competitive state dollars will benefit towns and neighborhoods across Carbon County,” stated Argall.

Heffley added, “These valuable state dollars will go directly into capital projects that benefit communities across Carbon County – from ensuring access to fresh water to supporting our first responders. While projects like sewer, water, and construction might not be the most glamorous, these are critical investments that will benefit us all in the long run. Without this grant funding, the burden would fall on local taxpayers.” He continued, “I’m proud to advocate for these vital projects, as they will ensure our infrastructure remains strong without overburdening our residents.”

The funds were distributed through the Statewide Local Share Account program, which allocates gaming revenue to support community and economic development initiatives.
