The Philadelphia Big 5 has announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The inductees will be honored at the Big 5 Classics for both men's and women's basketball on December 6 at Villanova's Finneran Pavilion for women, and December 7 at the Wells Fargo Center for men. This year's class includes Ira Bowman from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. John Giannini from La Salle, LaKeisha Eaddy from Temple, Amy Facer from Saint Joseph's, Courtney Mix from Villanova, and Mike Jensen from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dr. John Giannini served as head coach at La Salle University from 2004 to 2018. He achieved a total of 212 wins during his tenure, making him second only to Speedy Morris in school history. "Giannini is best remembered for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons," when he led La Salle to significant postseason success.

Ira Bowman played two years with Penn after transferring from Providence College. During his time with the Quakers, he was recognized as an Ivy League Player of the Year and contributed significantly to their success in league play. After college, Bowman had a professional career that included stints with NBA teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks.

LaKeisha Eaddy was instrumental in leading Temple University's Owls to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances between 2006 and 2010. She was a three-time All-Big 5 Selection and holds records in steals and assists within Temple's program history.

Amy Facer helped Saint Joseph's achieve remarkable team success during her collegiate career spanning from 1993 to 1997. Her contributions led SJU to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and Big 5 titles.

Courtney Mix played for Villanova between 2000 and 2004, where she established herself as one of the most versatile players in Villanova women's basketball history. Her leadership helped secure four consecutive NCAA Tournament berths for her team.

Mike Jensen covered Philadelphia basketball extensively during his tenure with the Philadelphia Inquirer starting in 1988 until his retirement in 2023. He received accolades such as the USBWA Jim O'Connell Award for excellence in beat writing this year.
