Penn College secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Wilson College in a United East men's soccer match on Wednesday, marking their third consecutive win. The Wildcats' record improved to 4-1 in the conference and 9-4-1 overall, while the Phoenix's standing fell to 1-5 in the conference and 5-10 overall.
The decisive moment of the game came in the 32nd minute when Jack Lenosky scored his second goal of the season from a direct kick. Penn College nearly extended their lead before halftime when Alex Heiser's header hit the right post in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, Penn College continued to press for an insurance goal. Lenosky struck the crossbar in the 69th minute, and Tommy DeGeyter had a close-range shot saved in the 82nd minute.
Throughout the match, Penn College outshot Wilson by a margin of 10-4, with five shots on target compared to Wilson's one. They also maintained dominance in corner kicks with a 5-1 advantage.
