Penn College and Cairn University ended their soccer match in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night at UPMC Field. This result adds another point to the United East Conference men's soccer standings for both teams. Penn College, now with a league record of 4-1-2 and an overall record of 9-4-3, holds the sixth seed in the postseason race. Cairn University stands at 6-0-1 in league play and 9-2-5 overall, maintaining the third seed with one regular season game left.

The match began with Tommy DeGeyter scoring from a penalty kick in the ninth minute after Jimmy Friedman was fouled inside the box. Cairn equalized in the 31st minute. Despite a fast-paced game that saw both teams combine for 12 shots on goal—four by Penn College—neither team managed to score again.

DeGeyter's goal marked his sixth of the season, placing him in a tie for ninth place in league scoring. Justin Potts made six saves during his second consecutive full game as goalkeeper. Attempts by Friedman, Logan Stapleton, and Angelo Gudonis were saved by Cairn's keeper.

Penn College had an edge over Cairn with an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.

The Wildcats will conclude their regular season this Saturday at Valley Forge.
