Penn College's men's cross country team secured a seventh-place finish, while the women's team placed 11th at the Bloomsburg University Cross Country Invitational on October 7.
For the Penn College men, Mitchell Campbell led with a 27th place finish in the 8K race, clocking in at 27:59. He was followed by Alec Rees in 43rd place at 29:01 and Matt Woolcock in 44th at 29:03. Other notable performances included Chase Ebling finishing 54th with a time of 29:35 and Jacob Parker securing the 67th spot in 30:20. Additional participants were Dillon Betts (69th, 30:45), Holden Furey (73rd, 31:08), Noah Bowers (76th, 31:54), and Cody Patchell (89th, 39:51).
Lock Haven University claimed the men's team title with a score of 49 points. They were closely followed by Kutztown with 50 points and Bloomsburg with 54 points. Individually, Ryan Duff from Bloomsburg led the field of competitors with a time of 26:29.
In the women's division for Penn College, Elaina Brady finished in the top position for her team at an individual placement of 87th over a challenging 6K course, timing in at 28:48.
