Penn College freshman Travis Green has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) wrestler of the week, as announced by the organization on Monday. Green is the third Wildcat to receive this honor in the current season, following teammates Noah Hunt and Isaac Cory, who were recognized on January 22 and November 6, respectively.
Green's performance at the John Reese Duals on Sunday earned him a 3-0 record at 165 pounds. His victories included two first-period falls against Ayden DeForest from Oneonta and Trevor DuBoff from Wilkes. He concluded his day with a notable win over Konrad Parker of Ithaca, achieving a score of 9-6. This victory was significant as Parker had previously defeated Green earlier in the season.
