In the seventh inning, Shawn Townsend's double brought another run for Penn College, putting them ahead 2-1. However, Penn State Berks managed to level the score again in the ninth inning.
In the decisive 11th inning, Augustine hit a double that led to an error, allowing Dallas Griess to score the winning run for Penn College. Griess was instrumental for his team with three hits during the game, while Augustine and John Croasdale each contributed two hits.
Dennis Prestash played a key role from the mound for Penn College, pitching two final innings without conceding any runs and securing one strikeout. This performance improved his personal record to 2-1.
