Penn College emerged victorious against Penn State Berks in a closely contested United East baseball game, ending with a score of 3-2 after 11 innings. The Wildcats' record improved to 1-3 in the United East and 9-11 overall, while the Nittany Lions dropped to 2-7-1 in conference play and 3-18-1 overall.

The game unfolded with Jaiden Augustine giving Penn College an early lead with an RBI single in the third inning. Penn State Berks responded by tying the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the same inning. In the seventh inning, Shawn Townsend's double brought another run for Penn College, putting them ahead 2-1. However, Penn State Berks managed to level the score again in the ninth inning.

In the decisive 11th inning, Augustine hit a double that led to an error, allowing Dallas Griess to score the winning run for Penn College. Griess was instrumental for his team with three hits during the game, while Augustine and John Croasdale each contributed two hits.

Dennis Prestash played a key role from the mound for Penn College, pitching two final innings without conceding any runs and securing one strikeout. This performance improved his personal record to 2-1.

Penn College is set to face Penn State Berks again on Saturday at noon as they conclude their series.
