Penn Athletics has entered into a partnership with the Philadelphia Catholic League for the upcoming basketball season. As part of this collaboration, fans holding season tickets for the 2024-25 Penn men's basketball games or those purchasing all-session tickets to the 2024 Cathedral Classic will receive priority access to buy tickets for the Catholic League tournament games scheduled at The Palestra in February. This priority sale is typically held in December during the PCL's flash pre-sale.

The Palestra is known for hosting significant events such as the PCL boys' semifinal games and both boys' and girls' finals, which often sell out quickly.

This season, Penn men's basketball will play 13 home games, including a match against Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's. This game will be a doubleheader featuring both Penn and SJU women's teams, along with contests against all seven Ivy League rivals. The team's first home game is set for Thursday, November 7, against Maryland-Eastern Shore (UMES).

The Cathedral Classic Invitational is scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend with doubleheaders on Friday, November 29; Saturday, November 30; and Sunday, December 1. Teams participating alongside the Quakers include Elon, Maine, and Navy.
