Penn College secured a 2-0 victory against Cedar Crest in a nonconference women's soccer match on Tuesday. This win advances the Wildcats' record to 9-0-4, while the Falcons now stand at 3-4-2.
The first goal came from Wiley Egan, who scored her fifth goal of the season after receiving a pass from Piper Minier in the 19th minute. Despite three additional attempts by Penn College in the first half, Cedar Crest's defense held firm.
In the second half, Megan Kurian capitalized on Sierra Klinger's pass to score an insurance goal in the 80th minute. This marked Kurian's 16th goal of the season and set a new program record for freshmen.
Throughout the match, Penn College dominated with a total of 26 shots compared to Cedar Crest's two and maintained an advantage of eight corner kicks to none.
Morgan Solano contributed with two saves, securing her team's win as goalkeeper for Penn College.
Looking ahead, the Wildcats will face Notre Dame of Maryland this Saturday at 1 p.m.
