Penn College's men’s and women’s cross-country teams participated in the Lock Haven University Invitational on Saturday. The men's team scored 238 points, placing ninth out of 18 teams, while the women's team scored 342 points, securing the 14th spot among 15 teams.
Matthew Woolcock led the Penn College men over an 8K course with a time of 27:43, finishing in 27th place. Mitchell Campbell followed in 35th place with a time of 27:56. Alec Rees finished in 45th place at 28:14, Ethan Knapp placed 74th at 29:08, and Chase Ebeling came in at the 100th position with a time of 29:50.
Walsh University won the men's team trophy with a score of 31 points. Andrew Bowen from Davis and Elkins College secured first place among the field of 187 runners with a time of 26:30.
In the women's competition, Elaina Brady paced Penn College over a 6K course, finishing in the 65th position with a time of 27:03. Isabella Kerlin completed her run in the 82nd spot at a time of 27:50. Karleigh Hunter was next for Penn College in the 95th position at a time of28:21. Lillian DePew finished in101st place at28:44,and Kayleigh Miller came121stwithatimeof31:13.
St. Bonaventure University captured top honors for women’s teams with49points.Aeryn Walters from Walsh University ledthe141-runnerfieldwithatim eof23 :12.
