Penn College women's soccer freshman Megan Kurian has been named the United East Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 21, as announced by the league on Monday.
Kurian accumulated seven goals and four assists during the Wildcats' three victories against Mount Aloysius, Carlow, and La Roche. The freshman forward scored two goals and provided an assist in an 8-0 win over Mount Aloysius on Wednesday. She followed this performance with two goals and two assists in a 9-0 victory against Carlow on Saturday. Kurian capped off her impressive week by recording her first career hat-trick in a 7-2 win at La Roche on Sunday. These achievements place her at the top of the team's statistics with nine goals and eight assists for the season.
