Wildcats defeat Crosstown Warriors in nonconference men’s tennis

David Straub Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach | Penn College Wildcats

Penn College defeated Lycoming College, 5-2 in nonconference men's tennis action on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats started the season 1-0, while dropping the Warriors to 0-1.

Penn College began the match by taking two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Logan Ogden and Jayden Manbeck paired up on Court 3 to win the deciding doubles point.

Alexander Norris and John Finnegan started with a 6-3 victory on Court 1 before the Warriors evened the score on Court 2. Ogden and Manbeck sealed the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-4 tiebreak) victory. Norris, Ogden, Manbeck, and John Finnegan all scored singles victories in the win.

Penn College will compete in the King's College Invitational next Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
