Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Communications Intern for 2021-22 Arielle Gordon has accepted a position with the National Baseball Hall of Fame™ in Cooperstown, New York, beginning Tuesday.

Along with Gordon joining the Baseball Hall of Fame, the PSAC also announces its addition of Claire Ames from Mansfield University, who will serve as the Communications Intern in the PSAC office for 2022-23.

Gordon served as the PSAC Communications Intern for the 2021-22 year and did an exceptional job helping the office execute the communications strategy. She helped write feature stories, manage the league’s social media channels and website, and assisted with compliance and conference championships.

A graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History-Political Science and Journalism, she interned with the institution’s athletic communications department where she wrote feature stories and assisted with game-day scoring and operations for NCAA Division I and III sports.

She has also worked in media relations roles for the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league, and The Alliance Fastpitch, a nationwide youth softball organization.

With the Baseball Hall of Fame, Gordon will manage and create digital content on the Hall of Fame-branded websites and social media platforms. She will oversee the website and help contribute to shape the comprehensive digital strategy for the organization. She will also manage forms, newsletters, and analytics for web and social media, while also contributing to storytelling efforts of the organization across its promotional platforms.

Taking over for Gordon, will be Claire Ames of Mansfield. Ames joins the league office after working under Owen Lukens and Drew Patrick in the Mansfield Sports Information department. With the Mountaineers, Ames helped maintain the Mansfield athletic website updating schedules, writing athlete bios, and helping input contest results. She also helped write, pregame previews and postgame recaps for multiple sports.

Ames graduated from Mansfield in May of 2022 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication: Sports Information. Ames is set to begin with the PSAC August 1.
