Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference issued the following announcement on Apr. 19.

After the second round of the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, Gannon University leads the tournament with a team total of 639 from the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

 

Gannon remains in first place after shooting 316 in the second round. Ditte Petersen (158) is in second place after a 76 today. Anna Maestro (160) is tied for fourth, and Sarah White and Andrea Martinez (161) are tied for sixth.

 

The second and third place teams are separated by just one stroke.

 

Mercyhurst moved into second place with a second-round score of 327 and an overall total of 671. Isabella Walter (159) is in third place, Sofia Carrizosa (170) is tied for 12th, Kymberly Henry (171) is tied for 14th, and Alyssa Ballaro (172) is in 16th place.

 

Cal U is third with 672. Rachel Wilson shot 78 in the second round, and she is the individual leader with a total score of 156. Addi Mann (171) is tied for 14th, and Keegan Selinsky and Colby Roberts are tied for 17th with two-day totals of 173.

 

Millersville (696) is in fourth place, West Chester (707) is fifth, and Bloomsburg (719) is in sixth. Kutztown (727), Clarion (780), and Seton Hill (807) round out the field.

 

The final round of the three-round championship tees-off Saturday at 10 a.m.

KUTZTOWN, Pa. --- After the first round of the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, Gannon leads the tournament with a team total of 323 from the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

 

For Gannon, Sarah White leads the pack with a first-round score of 77. Ditte Petersen, Andrea Martinez, and Anna Maestro are all tied for seventh place after shooting an 82.

 

The second, third, and fourth place teams are separated by just one stroke.

 

Millersville sits in second place with a team score of 343. Taylor Hileman leads the Marauders with an 80, and she is tied for fourth place. Emma Schotsch (86) is in 13th, Charley Kirby (87) is tied for 14th, and Cassandra Vogel (90) is tied for 22nd place.

 

Mercyhurst is third with 344. Isabella Walter and Kymberly Henry are tied for 11th place after shooting 85s. Sofia Carozza and Alyssa Ballaro are tied for 14th with 87s.

 

Cal U is in fourth place with 345. Rachel Wilson is second with a 78. Addi Mann (87) is tied for 14th and Keegan Selinsky and Colby Roberts are tied for 22nd after shooting 90.

 

West Chester (350) is fifth, Bloomsburg (362) is in sixth, and Kutztown (368), Clarion (398), and Seton Hill (402) round out the field.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship will tee off Friday, April 22 at the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

 

Twelve teams will compete for the conference title during the three-day tournament. Gannon University is the defending champion, having won each of the last two championships. This is the first time the PSAC Championship is being held at the Berkleigh Golf Club.

 

2021 PSAC Women’s Golf Athlete and Rookie of the Year Sarah White will lead Gannon this week. Last year’s medalist Maria Arenas is also returning. The Golden Knights won the 2021 tournament after a playoff against Mercyhurst.

 

Mercyhurst finished second last year and is still searching for the program’s first conference championship win. Kymberly Henry finished in second place at the 2021 tournament and is back as a junior this year. Another returner, Isabella Walter, tied for eighth place last year.

 

Cal U will look to senior Rachel Wilson. She tied for third at the conference championship last year and has earned Athlete of the Week honors this season. Addi Mann and Halle Herrington will likely also join Wilson in the lineup this week.

 

In fourth place last year, Millersville is bringing back three members of last year’s lineup. Alexandra Craig, Cassandra Vogel, and Amanda Steier all placed in the top-25.

 

Cal U and Gannon will each be looking for a sixth conference title and Millersville, Kutztown, and West Chester are all hunting for a second championship. The remaining seven programs are in pursuit of their first title.
