Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference issued the following announcement on Apr. 20.

On Wednesday, the NCAA affirmed that the six Pennsylvania State Athletic Conferences member campuses integrating under two separate universities will continue as Division II members as separate, independent athletic programs.

A Statement from Commissioner Steve Murray:

"We were very pleased to receive word yesterday, April 19, from NCAA staff that the Division II Membership Committee affirmed that the six PSAC member campuses integrating under two separate universities will continue as Division II members as separate, independent athletic programs. We certainly congratulate those six campuses and their administrations in their continuous efforts to provide a new paradigm in education in Pennsylvania.

While we are all confident that this would be the outcome of Membership Committee's review, this decision now allows the involved campuses, and in fact the entire PSAC, to move forward collectively to provide the best opportunities we can for all of our student-athletes."

We are happy that the Huskies, Vulcans, Golden Eagles, Fighting Scots, Bald Eagles and Mountaineers will be competing in the PSAC.”
