Lock Haven University Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s and women’s golf athletes of the week. Connor Bennink of Gannon University earned the men’s honor, and Sarah White of Gannon University captured women’s honors.
MEN
Connor Bennink
Sophomore
Kennett Square, Pa. / Unionville
Connor Bennink led Gannon to a first-place finish at the Mercyhurst Invitational with a two-round score of 144. Bennink finished in second place, with one more shot than the medalist. Bennink placed sixth at the Bud Elwell Fall Classic, shooting 148.
WOMEN
Gannon
Sarah White
Sophomore
Erie, Pa. / Mercyhurst Prep
Sarah White earned all-tournament honors for her third-place finish at the two-day Mercyhurst Invitational where she shot 155. She placed sixth at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic with a 157 over two rounds. White helped Gannon to a third-place finish in the Mercyhurst tournament and a second-place finish at their home tournament.
