Penn College of Technology's men's soccer team faced a narrow defeat against King's College in a nonconference match on Thursday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats, who were previously on a four-game winning streak, saw their record change to 5-3-1, while the Monarchs improved to 3-4.

The game began with Penn College taking an early lead. Austin Stapleton assisted his brother Logan for a goal just 14 seconds into the match. King's College equalized in the 18th minute, but Penn College regained the lead before halftime. Jimmy Friedman scored with a header from Spencer Price's free kick in the 41st minute.

In the second half, King's tied the game again in the 62nd minute and later secured victory with a goal following a direct kick that was mishandled by Penn College's keeper, resulting in a final score of 3-2.

Statistically, Penn College outshot King's College 10-6; however, King's had more corner kicks with a 4-0 advantage.

Penn College will play next against Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
