Tommy DeGeyter's penalty kick in the 55th minute secured a 2-1 victory for Penn College over St. Vincent in a nonconference men's soccer match at UPMC Field. This win brings the Wildcats' record to 2-2-1, while the Bearcats fall to 3-4.

The game saw its turning point when a foul in the box resulted in DeGeyter's penalty kick. His initial attempt was stopped, but due to an early move by St. Vincent's goalie, he was given another chance and successfully scored, placing the ball in the bottom left corner.

Earlier in the match, Antonio Mendes had given St. Vincent an early lead with a penalty kick into the bottom left corner during the sixth minute. The Wildcats managed to equalize when Brendan Geiger assisted Mason Beaver, who scored in the 32nd minute.

In the second half, both teams had limited opportunities on goal. Logan Stapleton's header for St. Vincent was saved in the 53rd minute, and Penn College goalkeeper Cole Catherman made a crucial save in the 88th minute to secure their win.

St. Vincent outshot Penn College with seven attempts compared to five and also led with five corner kicks against three from Penn College. Catherman concluded his performance with two saves.

Penn College is set to face Keuka College next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
