Penn College archer Matthew Byrnes has once again earned All-East honors, marking his second consecutive recognition. This achievement followed his performance at the USA Archery East Region Outdoor Championship and Adam Wheatcroft Memorial in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Byrnes also contributed to the men's compound team's second-place finish, while the Wildcats' fixed pins men's team secured third place.

In the men's compound event, Byrnes led a field of 17 qualifiers with a score of 686. His strong showing at this event, combined with a seventh-place finish at the indoor nationals in March, solidified his position among top archers nationwide.

Joining Byrnes in the men's compound category were Emery Gunsallus and Alexander Edwards. Gunsallus qualified seventh with a score of 654, while Edwards secured tenth place with a score of 648. Their collective efforts resulted in a total team score of 1,988 points for Penn College, just one point behind Alfred State College's winning score. James Madison University finished third with 1,915 points.

In the fixed pins division, Aydan McLain qualified sixth with a score of 616. Atley Cooper and Ben Malehorn followed closely behind with scores of 613 and 478 respectively. The team's overall score was 1,707 points, placing them third after James Madison University's first-place total of 1,877 points and Liberty University's second-place total of 1,818 points.

Looking ahead, Penn College is set to compete in the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals scheduled for May 17-19 in Statesboro, Georgia.
