Penn College men win United East Preview; women finish sixth

Penn College's men's cross-country team secured first place at the United East Preview hosted by Cairn University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The team scored 41 points in a field of 11 teams. Leading the Wildcats was Mitchell Campbell, who finished fourth with a time of 29:08 over an 8K course. He was closely followed by teammates Matthew Woolcock, Alec Rees, Chase Ebeling, and Dillon Betts.

In the men's competition, Lancaster Bible College came second with 70 points. SUNY Maritime and Valley Forge University both scored 140 points. Lancaster Bible's Mitchell Gray won individual honors with a time of 27:42 among 83 runners.

The Penn College women's team placed sixth out of nine teams with a score of 132 points. Freshman Elaina Brady led her team by finishing 13th in a time of 33:22 over a 6K course. Other notable performances included Skyelar Splain and Kayleigh Miller.

Lancaster Bible College also took the women's team title with 48 points, followed by Cairn University and SUNY Maritime.

Penn College will next compete at the Bloomsburg University Invitational on October 7.
