Penn College faced its first defeat of the season with a narrow 1-0 loss to Penn State Harrisburg in a United East women's soccer match on Saturday. The game took place in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

The Wildcats' record now stands at 0-1-1 in the United East conference and 6-1-5 overall. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions improved their standing to 3-0 in the conference and 5-3-2 overall.

The decisive moment came when Harrisburg scored in the 42nd minute, securing a lead just before halftime. Throughout the match, Harrisburg maintained pressure, outshooting Penn College 14 to 1 and gaining an advantage with 11 corner kicks compared to Penn College's single attempt.

Nicole Lichtinger made seven saves for Penn College during the match.

Looking ahead, Penn College is set to play against Lancaster Bible on Monday at 7 p.m.
