Penn College junior Nicole Lichtinger has been recognized as the United East – Volt Division Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Lichtinger contributed to a 1-0-1 record, helping keep the Wildcats undefeated this season. Her performance included a 0-0 draw against Penn State Berks in their first UEC match on Saturday. Earlier in the week, she secured a 4-1 victory over Penn State Altoona with two saves and added 11 more saves in the game against PSU Berks.
Currently, Lichtinger is tied for three shutouts in conference standings. She leads the league with 39 saves and ranks second with a .886 save percentage.
