Penn College women's soccer remains undefeated after defeating Cairn University

Penn College's women's soccer team continued their unbeaten streak with a 4-1 victory against Cairn University on Wednesday night. The Wildcats now hold a record of 2-0-3, while the Highlanders remain winless at 0-3-0.

The match saw Penn College take an early lead, scoring three goals in the first half. Teagan Willey opened the scoring just two minutes into the game with her first goal of the season, assisted by Kaelynn Sheetz. Sheetz then scored an unassisted goal ten minutes later. BillieGean Hennessy added to the scoreline with a penalty kick at the 16:11 mark.

Sheetz further contributed to her team's success by scoring her second goal and fifth point of the match in the 79th minute. Cairn managed to score their only goal in the 83rd minute.

In terms of defense, Nicole Lichtinger saved three out of four shots on goal from Cairn, while Penn College placed ten out of their twenty-one shots on target. Sheetz led with five shots and helped secure five corner kicks for her team during the match.

Penn College will continue their road trip with a game against Alfred State on Saturday, September 16th at 4 p.m.
