The schedule for the 2024-25 Big 5 men's basketball season has been announced. This marks the second consecutive year that all six NCAA Division I men's basketball programs in Philadelphia will be divided into two pods, each containing three teams. The teams within each pod will play against each other at their respective campus venues in a round-robin format.
Following these games, a tripleheader event is planned for Saturday, December 7th at the Wells Fargo Center. During this event, the top-seeded team from each pod will compete for the Big 5 championship. The second-place teams will vie for third place, and the third-seeded teams will battle for fifth place.
For this season, Pod 1 consists of Drexel, La Salle, and Temple. Pod 2 includes Penn, Saint Joseph's, and Villanova.
