Penn College engaged in a nonconference doubleheader against Penn State Altoona on Tuesday, securing a victory in the first game with a score of 10-8 and falling in the second game 11-4. This result brought Penn College's overall record to 19-16, while Penn State Altoona now stands at 15-22.

During the first game, the Wildcats made significant strides by scoring five runs in the fifth inning and adding three more in the sixth. In contrast, Penn State Altoona took an early lead in the second game, dominating with a score of 9-2 after several innings and ultimately winning.

Key performances included Quinn Hanafin and Tristan Current each going 3 for 4 at bat during the opener. Hanafin contributed three RBIs and scored twice, while Current added two RBIs and scored once. Both players hit home runs alongside teammates Tyler Rudolph and Brian Robison. Starting pitcher Zac Weaver played five innings, enhancing his record to 5-1.

In the second game, starting pitcher Jason Cute pitched one inning and was charged with the loss. Hanafin continued his strong performance with a home run, a double, and two RBIs.

Looking ahead, Penn College is scheduled to face Penn State Berks in United East action at 3 p.m. on Friday.
