Penn College junior Peyton Mussina has been named United East Golfer of the Week. Mussina, from Montoursville, Pennsylvania, participated in two tournaments last week, finishing second at the start and securing medalist honors by the end.
At the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational on Tuesday, held at Hershey Country Club, Mussina achieved a career-best 2-under 69 to tie for second place among 68 competitors. He concluded the week with a two-day total of 1-under (143), leading a field of 82 players at the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic over Saturday and Sunday.
This marks Mussina's third Athlete of the Week recognition following previous honors on October 4 and October 25 in 2022. Last season, he earned First Team All-United East recognition after finishing second at the league championship meet in April.
