Men’s Track & Field sends duo to USTFCCCA All-Region Team

E1

The LHU men’s indoor track team saw its dynamic sophomore duo land on the USTFCCCA All-Region Team.

Yesterday (June 22), the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region teams and the Lock Haven University men's indoor track and field team placed two on the All-Atlantic Region Team.

Following sensational performances at the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the duo of Gage Krall (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) and Ryan Miller (Bradford, Pa./Bradford) were both named to the prestigious list in their sophomore campaigns.

Krall earned All-Region honors in the 5,000 meters after bringing home the PSAC crown this spring. At the championships, Krall bested the field with a time of 14:54.61. Also in his strong 2022 campaign, Krall set the No. 2 all-time mark at LHU in the 3,000 meters and clocked in at 8:27.76.

On the heels of recently being named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, Miller picked up the award in the 400 meters. Miller finished second at the PSAC Championships in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.63. The personal-best effort marked an NCAA Division II Championship provisional-qualifying mark and stands at the fourth-fastest time in school history.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
