Women’s soccer achieves historic unbeaten regular season under Coach Scheller

The women’s soccer team, led by Coach Ian Scheller in his third season, completed the 2024-25 season with a final record of 15 wins, 1 loss, and 4 draws. The team achieved an unbeaten regular season for the first time in program history, finishing with a record of 14 wins and 4 draws. They were seeded second in the UE playoffs but were eliminated in the semifinals.

Freshman Megan Kurian had a standout season, setting program records for goals, assists, and points. She received multiple postseason honors including UE Player of the Year and UE Rookie of the Year. Kurian was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region IV second team.

The team had five players named to the UE first team: Megan Kurian (forward), Cassie Johnson (midfielder), Makayla Bucks (defender), and Ashley Gordon (defender). Olivia Casella was recognized on the UE All-Sportsmanship Team.

In addition to Kurian’s all-region honor, Nicole Lichtinger (goalkeeper), Cassie Johnson, and Ashley Gordon were named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region IV third team.
