Second-seeded Penn College faced a 21-8 defeat against top-seeded St. Mary’s in the United East Men’s Lacrosse Championship game held in St. Mary’s City, Maryland, on Saturday. The Wildcats completed their season with a 14-5 record, securing the runner-up position for the second year in a row.

The game began with the Wildcats making a strong start, netting the first two goals through Elliot Dotson and Owen Kupsey. However, St. Mary’s responded by scoring 13 consecutive goals, gaining a significant lead by the midway point of the third quarter.

Kupsey managed to reduce the gap with his second goal of the game, occurring with 6:26 remaining in the third quarter. Despite the Wildcats having a 5-4 goal advantage in the final quarter, they concluded the season with a runner-up trophy.

During the match, Owen Kupsey emerged as the only multi-goal scorer for the Wildcats, contributing two goals. Other players, including Elliot Dotson, Devin Page, Will Ehret, Aidan McFalls, and John Dolezal, also scored. Ryan Twist contributed to the team’s efforts by making 10 saves.
