Volleyball team ends long losing streaks under new coach

The volleyball team, led by Coach Kyle Hawk in his first season, concluded the 2024-25 season with a record of 3-24. This marks a career record for Coach Hawk, who also ended the UE season with a record of 1-9.

One of the notable highlights of the season was securing their first-ever win against Penn State Mont Alto after five meetings since 2013. This victory broke a two-season streak of 14 consecutive losses. Additionally, the team opened their UE season with a win for the first time since 2013, ending a significant losing streak of 46 matches that dated back to October 2017.

In terms of postseason honors, Jo Hess from Jersey Shore was named to the UE All-Sportsmanship Team.
