Penn College cross-country teams compete at Houghton Invitational

Running in the Houghton College Highlander Invitational, Penn College's cross-country teams faced challenging competition. The men's team finished eighth with 216 points on an 8K course, while the women's team secured seventh place with 196 points on a 6K course. Alec Rees and Cinnamon Digan both led their respective teams by finishing in 56th place.

For the Penn College men, Rees completed his race in 29:31.56. He was followed by Dean Fulton in 68th place at 30:32.80, Noah Bowers in 75th at 31:39.92, Nick Snow in 80th at 32:10.69, AJ Wiles in 86th at 33:50.55, Will Deem in 94th at 35:40.11, and Chad Bomboy rounding out the group in 99th at 38:52.02.

On the women's side, Digan clocked a time of 30:35.42 and was trailed by Taylor Schon who finished in 59th place with a time of 31:47.72, Avery Baker close behind in 60th at 31:50.43, Kayleigh Miller placing 70th with a time of 34:31.01, and Aubrey Stetts completing her race in 73rd place with a time of 37:36.41.

Cortland State emerged as the leader among the eight men's teams with a total of just 42 points, thanks to RIT's Aleksei Bingham who won individually among the field of ninety-nine runners with a time of 25:54.56.

In the women's category, St. John Fisher took first among seven teams with thirty-five points and saw Riley Corey win individually against seventy-three competitors with a time of twenty-three minutes and three seconds.

Penn College will next compete at the Hood College Invitational set to take place on Saturday in Frederick, Maryland.
