State Representative Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton/Union) has announced funding of over $185,000 for multiple local career and technical schools in the 76th Legislative District. The funding will be used to expand and improve access to equipment and educational advantages for students in these schools.

Keystone Central Career and Technical Center will receive $84,217, SUN Area Technical Institute will receive $85,000, and Jersey Shore Area Career and Technical Center will receive $18,689. This funding will be used to purchase new equipment that will help train students in high-demand occupations through career and technical education programs.

Representative Borowicz emphasized the importance of supporting trade jobs and skilled workers for the growth and prosperity of Pennsylvania. She stated, "Our country was founded on and expanded because of hardworking manufacturing and trade jobs. For Pennsylvania to continue to grow and prosper, it is vital to support our trade jobs and skilled workers. I am proud to see this career and technical school funding come to the schools in the 76th House District."

Representative David Rowe, who represents the 85th District, expressed his excitement about the funding. He stated, "Improving and expanding career and tech programs is vital to meeting demand for high-paying, high-demand careers in the trades. I am excited that students in the 85th District will be able to access new opportunities at SUN Area Technical Institute to prepare for a successful transition into the workforce, which can evolve into a family-sustaining career."

Career and technical education programs play a crucial role in meeting the demands of the workforce. Across Pennsylvania, there are more than 80 career and technical centers that offer a combination of classes and hands-on learning programs approved by the Department of Education. These programs provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in various industries.

The funding announced by Representative Borowicz will enable the local career and technical schools to enhance their programs and provide students with first-class equipment and educational advantages. This will ensure that students are well-prepared for the workforce and have the opportunity to pursue high-paying and in-demand careers.

With this funding, the Keystone Central CTC, SUN Area Technical, and Jersey Shore Area CTC will continue to provide quality education and training to their students. The investment in career and technical education will contribute to the economic growth of the region and provide opportunities for a successful future for the students.

Overall, the funding announced by Representative Borowicz demonstrates the commitment to supporting career and technical education in Pennsylvania. By investing in these programs, the state is investing in its future workforce and ensuring the prosperity of its communities.
