Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference issued the following announcement on Jan. 18.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s and women’s swimming athletes of the week. Andrew Hale of Shippensburg University was named Men’s Athlete of the Week and Allie Keeling of Shippensburg University was the Women’s Athlete of the Week.

On his Senior Day, Andrew Hale helped Shippensburg defeat Edinboro in a dual meet. He was a part of two first place relay squads, the 200-yard medley (1:36.72) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:29.75). Hale finished first and hit a PSAC qualifying time in the 200-yard individual medley with a 1:57.37 finish.

Allie Keeling posted PSAC qualifying times in both of her events as Shippensburg won a dual meet against Edinboro. She won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.80 and she finished first in the 1,650-yard freestyle, coming in at 18:04.66. Keeling also helped the 200-yard freestyle relay to a first-place finish (1:42.62).
